Marketing

Product Manager

Halo Labs is a fast-growing life science tools company developing and selling innovative tools for drug product stability, purity, and quality analysis. We work directly with world leading biotechnologists and biopharmaceutical companies solving drug product quality problems. We are looking for a product manager who is highly self-motivated to manage the product portfolio including responsibilities across the product development pipeline. The ideal product manager will have a deep understanding of customer and market needs to effectively translate them to product requirements meeting business objectives. The role will be cross functional interfacing across multiple departments within the entire organization including R&D, product development, operations, and global commercial teams.

This individual contributor position will be located at our office in Burlingame, CA, and reports to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent VoC by conducting interviews and having a customer centric mindset
  • Conduct market research and identify market opportunities and gaps
  • Manage pricelist and provide input on pricing
  • Own new product introductions from concept through commercialization
  • Responsible to provide business case and product requirements for new product offerings
  • Develop product roadmap and manage product life cycle of all products
  • Define product positioning, and work closely with marketing communications to develop messaging and impactful marketing collateral including application notes with R&D
  • Investigate and understand protein and cell and gene therapy landscape; keep up to date on market changes, trends, and developments
  • Maintain competitive intelligence
  • Identify application needs and opportunities
  • Report regularly to leadership on product needs and market environment
  • Deliver or manage external presentations, webinars, and conference talks

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years product management experience
  • 3+ years marketing and/or sales experience in protein and/or cell and gene therapy markets
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tell a great story internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as needed domestically (<20%) or internationally (<5%) with a valid passport
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA highly desirable
  • Advanced scientific degree
  • Skilled in Salesforce
